Khaki evolution

One of my first clothing purchases in Seattle was a pair of khaki pants from the local Value Village. Maybe $5? For my new job at Starbucks which required them.

On the first day, I splashed the mop water and bleached out small dots on the hemline. Still I wore them out and about, usually with a belt cinched tight to make a sort of paper bag waist.

Recently I cut them a few inches above the knees and made shorts out of them.
